The Story Behing the Drawings

Here you may Learn the story behind all my drawings as well as see awards I have won over the years
PictureA Game of Chess
"A Game of Chess" was completed on August 6th, 2022. Since I was child I had a huge love in playing chess. I used to beat my siblings in the game all the time. Chess is the perfect game about strategy, so I wanted to do a drawing of my chess set in the living room. Giving the view what chess pieces see.

PictureA Snowy Day on a Snowy Street
"A Snowy Day on a Snowy Street" was completed on January 22nd, 2022. Some story behind this drawing, while I was in the Army I was stationed at Fort Drum, New York. I had some friends still over there after I got home. While I was looking for a new challenge for myself one friend suggested I draw an image off a snowy street he sent. Look very challenging so I took it.
I regard A Snowy Day on a Snowy Street one of my finest drawings so far. Having giving many attention to detail in many small areas.

PictureFrozen
"Frozen" was completed on January 28th, 2018. It's a drawing I did to show a live character based on Elsa from the movie Frozen. I wanted to do a fantasy drawing that I thought would be loved by family members so I thought of a theme like this would be nice.
I had asked my sister to model in this pose, having loved the movie herself she couldn't refuse. The background was completely made from my mind. At the time I never seen snow in person so I did my best with what I knew.

Picture
Valor
"Valor" is a United States Army themed drawing that was completed on September 20th 2019. The drawing shows a Army Ranger in Afghanistan in a sniper nest waiting for the enemy coming his way.
This drawing was a tribute for the veterans and active servicemen.
The drawing also won Best in Show at the New Braunfels Art League in the Artoberfest show.
PictureThe 1967 Shelby GT500
"The 1967 Shelby GT500" was completed on December 28th, 2019. There is not really a story behind this drawing. Only that the Ford 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang is my favorite car, and what drawing artist hasn't drawn their favorite car.

PictureComal River
"Comal River" was completed on June 12th, 2021. Since I lived in New Braunfels most of my life the Comal River is one of our main attractions. It's only natural I draw it.

PictureSpring Beach
"Spring Beach" was completed on March 31st, 2019. I started this drawing around the time I was leaving the Army. Mostly to try to get my rhythm back. It's really just a 18x18 beach drawing with no true story to it.

PictureBy The Coast
"By The Coast" was completed on December 14th, 2023. I started this drawing back in 2018 while I was in the Army. Unfortunately I ended up never having time to work on it while in the service and after I had gone back to it a few times but mostly putting it away to work on other projects. Finally in December 2023 I decided it was time to finish a fe old drawings. So I did maybe a week of work to fix the old lead and try to do what I was going for but in the end I decided it was time to say it is good enough.

PictureLight and Darkness of One's Soul
“Light and Darkness of One’s Soul” was completed on May 5th, 2017. This drawing was a self-portrait of myself with some interesting adds. The drawing is meant to show two sides of people, the “good” and the “bad”, the “light” and the “darkness”, “heaven” and “hell”. If you notice the light side holds the good side of the personality with a paradise background. And the right side holds the evil side of the personality with flams of hell in the background.

PictureThe Artist
“The Artist” was completed on June 2nd, 2017. It was a sort of self-portrait of myself drawing “A Child’s Christmas Spirit”. It’s more of a tribute to myself and other artist in the world. To show our creativity and of open mind of how we see things in the world.
Below you can see the drawing I was working on in the artwork.

PictureA Child's Christmas Spirit
“A Child's Christmas Spirit” was completed on December 25th, 2016. “A Child Christmas Spirit” is one of my most adored drawings. It shows the spirit of Christmas through a child’s eyes. In it you see a 18 months boy warring a bear suit playing with Christmas tree ornaments. It is also partly featured in “The Artist” drawing.

PictureFriday Night Lights
“Friday Night Lights” is drawing of a high school rivalry game between the two schools “Canyon High School” & “New Braunfels High School”. It was made as a memory for myself in the time of my high school football days. I always knew them as the best days of my life and would miss them forever. This game was a rivalry that my team won, and to win a game that the whole town shows up to watch is the greatest feeling any young man can have.
Although the drawing was completed on September 5th, 2016 it takes place in late September 2014, my senior year in high school. The senior year was our best season during my high school days, we went (7,3) that season then lost our first playoff game. In the drawing the 3 players on Canyons team are Me (96), Philip Shelton (7), and Eric Cendejas (32). The New Braunfels side I don’t know, I never socialized with rival team.
This drawing represents not just my love for my high school football days, but also means when you’re young, you’re only young once. Every day is a day you’ll never have back, so you should remember it and make it worth wild.

PictureNew Braunfels River
“New Braunfels River” was completed on September 13th, 2015. The setting takes place at the Tube Chute on the Comal River in New Braunfels. During this time the Tube Chute would be pack with people in the summer. Quit honestly this area is one of the most popular places in New Braunfels even during the summer. I used go there many times in my teens. I remember at the time this was one my first major landscape drawings which helped me learn and become a better artist.

PictureLonely Eye's
Lonely Eye’s was one of my most well-known and saddest art pieces in 2016. It was competed on October 8th, 2015. What made this drawing a little bit more emotional for me was that night I lost someone close to me and I remember working none stop on it and finishing it late in the morning.

PictureHalo: The Fallen (Halo Fan Art)
Halo: The Fallen (Halo Fan Art) was completed on February 2nd, 2021. I am a big gamer when I am not drawing. One of the vey first video games I have ever played was Halo: Combat Evolved. So I am a huge Halo fan, I still play them today. I remember I was feeling drained from other drawings so I wanted to have fun and draw something only for me.

PictureShip of Dreams
Ship of Dreams is a drawing of the RMS Titanic. The drawing was meant to be finished on the 15th of April but it turned out to be finished on the 26th of April, 2016. It was made for its memory and titled "Ship of Dreams" because it was known to be that in 1912.
The drawing also has a memory for me because when I was little the story of the Titanic is what I was fascinated about and the first drawing I ever did when I was little was actually the Titanic. So just turning 20 I decided to go back to the beginning and draw her one more time for her memory and those who lost there life's on April 15th, 1912.

PictureBravery
"Bravery" was completed on July 14th, 2020. Before I started working on it I wanted to do a tribute to the firefighters who leave their loved one's and risk their lives to keep us safe.
The drawing depicts three firefighters late at night fighting a wild fire. Now I made this drawing from my mind and the drawing is so dark and so light because when you have a large fire at night the only light you see is from the fire, everything else is dark around you. So I think I depicted this right.
So the firefighters out there thank you for what ya'll do.

PictureThe Long Wait
“The Long Wait” was completed on March 26th, 2016. It tells a story of a women waiting for her long lost love on the Faust St Bridge in New Braunfels. She’ll wait has long as it takes for her man to return to her.
In 2016 this was still when I was learn how to draw landscape in pencil. And it did win 1st Place in a New Braunfels Art League show. So I am still proud of this one.

PictureA Mama & Her Calf
"A Mama & Her Calf" was completed on June 29th, 2020. This drawing was done because I rarely get to draw animals and my now wife love cows. So I started working on something for her but also to try something different.
This reminds one of my wives favorites and it did win 3rd Place in a Texas Show at the New Braunfels Art League.

PictureAtoms
“Atoms” was completed on July 31st, 2017. “Atoms” tells us the idea that we people are part of the universe.  That humans has a energy that is connected to the universe.
“Atoms” also won 2nd Place in Drawing Media in the “What Do You See” special show in the New Braunfels Art League Gallery.

PictureThe Snowy Day
“The Snowy Day” was Competed on November 22nd, 2015 The women in the drawing is named Holly who took this picture upstate on a snowy day. I had asked to draw this image which was okay with.

Picture
“Summer Tide” represents the final days of summer and is the day is the day it was completed, August 31st, 2016. The drawing was challenge made by a friend of mine named Mark Priest who is a photographer. He didn’t take the picture I was working with but his friend did who’s also a photographer. My friend Mark told me to try something new and he wanted to see how an ocean drawing in pencil would come out. To me it was a good challenge, something I never done before, and it came out great.
PictureDance With The Devil
Dance With The Devil was finished on July 27th, 2015. I like to think of this has a religious drawing because being a Christian myself, I like to think that angels and the devil can influence people on the choices we make. Make us do good deeds or sin.
I guess another meaning to this art piece is that it shows how life is just one big dance with God and the Devil. How mush good and how much sin we do decides weather we go to Heaven or Hell. Life is just one big dance.

PictureLady Wilcox
“Lady Wilcox” was finished on August 11th, 2013. The women in this drawing is name was Autumn Wilcox so I named it Lady Wilcox for how sweet she could be, and how some people would say she was a real lady. It became a gift to her for how sweet she was in high school and for being a good friend to me. This drawing is also to me one of my best portraits I did back in high school.

Picture
"Snowy Field" was completed on January 27th, 2020. I started this drawing when the fear of Covid-19 was going around and I wanted to do something simple for me.

Picture
"Fireflies" was completed on July 20th, 2020. This drawing depicts myself opening a jar full of fireflies. It was meant to give the viewer a sense of imagination.
This drawing was very experimental having that I don't work with color pencils that often. To add the risk the drawing was also a very dark piece and the only light was coming from the fireflies. This drawing to me was a failed experiment and now represents my final pencil/color pencil drawing.

Picture
“The Ringmaster” is a Circus - Ringmaster drawing that was finished on May 17th, 2016.

Picture
"Just A Little Dance" was completed on June 14th, 2021. I hate to admit it but this drawing isn't my favorite. While working it some water spelled around the drawing. So I ended up cutting 30% off which made it very small. Since I don't like throwing away bad drawings I called it quits and put it away. Just learning accidents happen.

PictureNighty Night
“Nighty Night” was completed on December 13th, 2014 (12-13-14). The baby boy in this drawing is the son of someone I was close to after graduation. Her name was Ashley. She asked me if I could draw her son which I said yes. The drawing was completed on December 13th, 2014 (12-13-14) and it was gifted to her. As the years went by two more drawings were add in the family. As of 2017 this drawing is related to “Sleepy Angel” and “Sweet Dreams”.

PictureWas It All Worth It
"Was It All Worth It" was completed on November 3rd, 2021. Being a veteran I was deeply upset of how things ended in the War in Afghanistan. As I watch the troops pull out and Taliban take over all I was thinking "what was it all for?". So almost immediately I started working on this drawing to put my emotions in it. With intend things to the drawing, the dog tags are clear symbolizing how we were forgetting about, the hands are together to symbolizing our stress over the pull out, the darkness symbolizing darkness veterans go through everyday.
This was not a drawing with high detail but it was a drawing that had a lot of being behind it.

PictureThe Last Ride
"The Last Ride" is a wildlife and a little bit of a landscape drawing that was finish on October 1st, 2015.  At the time the last wildlife drawing I did was in 2014 so I thought it was time to do another one. Sadly I didn't know the women in this drawing as she was follower I had on Instagram.

PictureThe Deceiver
The Deceiver was completed on February 3rd, 2015. The women in this drawing had so much beauty on her, men would do anything for her. She had men at her finger tips. Men would fall in love with her but will receive nothing. She was the deceiver of all men in Texas.

PictureThe Bull Rider
“The Bull Rider” was completed on September 22nd, 2016. “The Bull Rider” is a country theme I decide to do and in this drawing you see an image of a bull rider riding a bull in a rodeo. It was at the time a long drawing with a lot of cut outs and changes. In the picture I found there was more in the background and I made the bull look darker. A lot of people around the south really loved it and it sold really fast.

PictureThe First Dance
"The First Dance" is a wedding drawing  completed on October 6th, 2015. It tells a story of a couple on their wedding day having their first dance as husband and wife. It was honestly to three day drawing that didn't get a lot of attention.

PictureDrink You Away
"Drink You Away" was a Valentine's Day drawing completed on February 14th, 2015. Ever since "Love for Valentine's" I decided to make another Valentine's Day drawing. Most people are happy on Valentine's Day because they are with the one's they love. But most people are lonely on a day like that.
The drawing at the time was the darkest drawing I
attempted and probably didn't do it right but hey always a learn experience for me.

PictureLove for Valentine's
“Love for Valentine's” was finished on February 14th, 2014 on Valentine's Day. It was a very adored drawing back in 2014 and featured an old friend. It was named “Love for Valentine’s” for how she’s showing love to the baby on Valentine’s Day. Also interesting thing is that it was done within 6 day's and I remember I had a cold when I was working on it.

Picture
“Forever Love” is my 2016 Valentine’s Day s special and twin drawing of “The Forever Kiss”. It tells the story of a couple that is truly and deeply in love and will forever be in love.

Picture
“Skater” was completed on December 5th, 2016. This drawing was taken by a photography friend of mine named Mark Priest. He was taking pictures of a group skaters and I really like this picture he took. I asked if I could do it and he allowed me to. I was also in the mood to draw other sports action drawing like “Friday Night Lights”, “Blaze of Glory” and “The Bull Rider”.

Picture
"Backroad Drive" was completed on May 18th, 2021. This drawing to me really isn't my best and I regard it as a rush job because I was under pressure to get it in a Texas theme art show. Ultimately I believe I failed in that. But this was the first time I fully drew a trucks body, so it's always nice to learn.

PictureThe Lonely Farm Girl
The Lonely Farm Girl was completed on January 5th, 2015. The drawing takes place in a farm in New Braunfels, Texas where this woman named Kirsten had. She was a old high school friend of mine and I saw this picture on Facebook and promised her that one day I would her. This was planned since 2013, but I never got to start on it until the end of the school year of 2014.
It was named "The Lonely Farm Girl" do to the point that in the drawing she was lonely and looking & waiting for her love to come in, and be with here.

PictureLittle Bear
This drawing was titled "Little Bear" and was completed on November 11th, 2015. Originally this was gonna be titled Little Daisy because that was the dogs name. But when I finished it, it looked like my dog "Bear" when she was a puppy. So I changed the name.

Picture
"Doctor Who: Time & Space (Doctor Who Fan Art)" was completed on February 11th, 2020. It's no secret that I am a huge nerd, I don't hide it. I started this drawing around the beginning of Covid-19. Really I just wanted to something different and more for fun. So I decided to do a Doctor Who fan art.

Picture
"The Pianist" was completed on August 29th, 2017. I love listening to this type of music and I simply wanted to give a small drawing that the viewer may hear the music. It wasn't that big of a drawing either. Only a 18x10.5 drawing.

Picture
"Ocean Avenue" was completed on September 21st, 2017. This was actually a really small and quick drawing. Only 15x15 and was done in a few days.

Picture
– “A Night on the Town” is a drawing of downtown New Braunfels outside of the Phoenix Saloon. It was finished on January 27th, 2016. It takes place at the Phoenix Saloon, a place I go to eat and sometimes drink and relax at. Since the first time I walked in I knew I wanted to draw this place like Van Gogh did with his “Café Terrace at Night”.
Really I don't think I did this right, ended up being a size 24x14 but I was young and trying new things.

Picture
“Moonlight Love” was completed on November 27th, 2015. It takes place on a full moon night in Port Aransas, Texas. With my friend Melissa and her then boyfriend giving a moonlight kiss. The original picture is different. They were kissing in the day. I changed it to a night sense with a large moon in the background. Ended up being a size 15x19.5.

PictureOver Joy
“Over Joy” was completed on September 25th, 2014. It's the 3rd drawing and last drawing of Haylay, an old best friend in high school. This drawing was the first drawing I did after my summer break from drawing, and I completed it within 4 days of work and maybe 18 hours total of work. It was named "Over Joy" do to Hayley was in Disneyland and over joy to be there.

PictureSister's of the Hadlock Family
“Sister's of the Hadlock Family” was completed on December 16th, 2013. It has Hayley and her sister who’s name I don't know. This was one of my early group drawings I ever done. It got the name “Sister's of the Hadlock Family” to the fact that that’s her only sisters and only two daughters of the Hadlock family.

Picture
This drawing was named “Truth Lies Behind This Pure Soul of Heart” and it was completed on December 21st, 2013. The female in this drawing was named Hayley and she was one of my high school best friends when this was done. Hayley was the purest soul I knew at the time. There was another reason why I did this but I never told her or anyone back then. That is now between me.

PictureThe Wild Flower
“The Wild Flower” is one of my oldest and earliest drawings back in high school. The women in this picture is named Megan and is an old friend of mine back in high school. I named it a “The Wild Flower” was because at the time I believed she was one. I honestly don't remember the exact date when I finished it. But I know it was around 2011.
Her family currently has this portrait and is hanging it up in their living room from what I've been told. Since graduation I haven’t heard from her or anything about the drawing.

Picture
“If I Stay” was competed on April 15th, 2015 and was named after the book which shows how one person can choose whether to stay or pass on to the other life. In this drawing you see a girl choosing to either return to the world or go into the light and pass on into Heaven.

Picture
“The Fall” was completed on July 29th, 2016. “The Falls” was a pass time drawing that I did to show what deep depression can do. In it you see someone about to commit suicide. So it’s a really sad drawing to me.

Picture
“Lover’s” was completed on October 12th, 2016. This was my first partly nude drawing I did. A lot people wanted me to do it so I finally did. Since I couldn’t hang it anywhere I gave it and “Pleasure” away to a friend named Sydney.

PictureA Heart That Goes On
This drawing was named “A Heart That Goes On” and was completed on April 10th, 2014. The women in this drawing is a formal friend named Cherrica. Before I finished it her and her boyfriend broke up. As far as I know she was hurt about it for a while. But later on she was moving on pretty well. So while I was watching the Titanic movie I decide to name it “A Heart That Goes On” after the song by Celine Dion.

PictureCalifornia Beautiful
“California Beautiful” was completed on December 10th, 2014. The women in this drawing is named Hanna. Me and her had a small friendship together. We weren't really that close, just knew and seen each other often. This drawing was worked on in early October but I took a break from drawing after that and I got back on it after the drawing "Starry Starry Night".

PictureGod's New Angel
God's New Angel was made in memory of Brianna Maia Rodriguez who passed away on September 6th, 2015. On the night I found out she passed away, I felt the need to draw her. Like she was with me and told me to draw her and give the drawing to her family. After I felt the need to draw her, I rushed in to the drawing I was working on them, which was "New Braunfels River". When that was finish I immediately started on her and tried to give it to her family before the funeral.  The drawing was completed on September 19th, 2015. And it with Brianna family now to this day.

Picture
“A Free Spirit” was completed on October 16th, 2016. This drawing was an image of a friend dancing in the park which I change to a dancing studio. She was a Texas State dancer and I always thought of dancers free spirited people. Not one of my bests at all but was young and wanted to do something new.

PictureThe Snow Globe
"The Snow Globe" was completed on December 24th, 2019. One of my most favorite drawing I have done, and one that I tried to give the viewer some thought on what they are seeing. The Snow Globe tells the story of a women trap in her own world as she waits in sadness. But what is she thinking? Why is she waiting? Will she ever be release from her own world? Only she can do that as she is holding the snow globe.

PictureEndless Wonder
Endless Wonder was completed on January 1st, 2024. One of my favorites, ambitious, challenging, most time consuming drawing I have attempted. Endless Wonder shows the far future after humanity left Earth behind and of where we may be future. Showing a young boy on a observing deck of a spaceship staring at a near by galaxy wondering where he will go next. The endless possibility and adventures that await him.
Being a huge sci-fi fan, loving many novels, movies, and video games I wanted to give my love to that genre. As well as tell my thoughts of what we should be focused on. Today we have explored our world with no true frontier left other than space. But we can focused on fighting each other, looking for the next post, staying home with no love for adventure, and politically divided when we should be focused on humanity next step and come together and take our place in the stars.
The drawing is 24x18 and took a 9 months of on and off work. I can't tell how many hour I put in but it was the most. It came completely from my mind and also did take studying on what a galaxy can look like.

PictureWar Never Changes
War Never Changes was completed on December 30th, 2022. This one is one of my favorites and probably my most emotional drawing I have done. The drawing takes place in Russo-Ukrainian War. In it you see a  Ukrainian soldier escorting an orphan to safety across a destroyed city. Being a veteran myself I never saw the benefits in war but death and destruction, but sometimes beyond the chaos you find kindness. The title is call War Never Changes because if you know your history you know all wars are only fought be one persons greed and desire for power... war.. never.. changes.
After the 2022 invasion I wanted to do a anti-war drawing about what was going on in Ukraine. I was researching many images the destruction happening, what the soldiers and civilians were possibly wearing, and I tried to make my own image on what I was seeing. In the 18x18 drawing you can buildings destroyed some with ballet holes and artillery damage. You and destroyed trees and rubble on the ground. In the far right you can see a destroyed tank. Every time I look at the drawing I can here that song "Window Change". I hope the war ends soon and one never happens again.

PictureSo.. Who's Drawing Who?
So.. Who's Drawing Who? was completed on January 29th, 2021. I took inspiration from M.C. Escher and his drawing "Drawing Hands" 1948. To keep is simple I took three pictures of my hands in drawing pose and made it seem like the drawing is drawing itself. Which gives the question who's drawing who?

PictureThe Vineyard
"The Vineyard" was completed on November 8th, 2023. This drawing was made for my weeding. My wife wanted to get married at a vineyard so I drew the field outside of the church.
Living in Texas, we constantly go to Fredericksburg, Texas where many vineyards and wine fields are which this one takes place at La Bonne Vie Ranch.

PictureThe Lighthouse
"The Lighthouse" was completed on July 7th, 2022. I intended to give an eerie vibe by showing an upcoming storm on a lighthouse. A  lighthouse keeper seems like eerie job because you are alone in a building with a stressful but important responsibility. Some people may go crazy.

PictureThe Guitarist
"The Guitarist" was competed on November 13th, 2017. With a love of playing guitar myself, I took a video then screenshotted myself playing. Afterwards I made this drawing to show the magic music can bring.

PictureShattered
“Shattered” is one of my older favorites. It was done on May 13th, 2016. It doesn’t just show an image of a shattered mirror but also tells the story of a person who has been shattered from depression and loneliness. I was feeling this way when I drew this. And knowing many people are going through hard times I knew this drawing would speak to them.
If you ever feel this way
you are not alone and you are loved.

PictureWatching the Sunset on a Beach
"Watching the Sunset on a Beach" was completed on April 8th, 2022. On this drawing I wanted to give a sense of calm and relax. I know many of us would love to just sit on beach and watch the sunset.
I do admit, it was a big piece of art. It was 18x24 of not much major detail. But I do think I capture the calm of what I was going for.

PictureWinter Twilight
“Winter Twilight” was completed on December 8th, 2016. My first snow theme drawing. I remember how I came to doing a friend out of Texas sent me what their yard looked like. I asked if I could try and draw it which they didn't mind.
Despite being one of my older drawings I do still feel a sense of peace when I look at it. And while working on it I learn many things on drawing and saw how simple snow drawings can be. As this drawing help give me more confidence in my skills.

PictureRadioactive
“Radioactive” was completed on July 25th, 2017. “Radioactive” was my way of showing that if we don’t change our ways we will have the same fate in Chernobyl. I hate the thought we could have nuclear apocalypse if we don’t stop our advances in warfare.

PictureA Child's Prayer on the Beach
"A Child's Prayer on the Beach" was completed on August 7th, 2019. When I started this drawing I was almost out of the Army and I need to work on something simple to get back into my drawing  rhyme. So I remembered while back I saw a friend take a picture of her son waiting on the waves to come in, but I always thought it looked like he was praying. So I had permission to draw the picture and I think as of now it's still my only religious theme drawing.

PictureA Typical Friday Night
"A Typical Friday Night" was completed on March 2nd, 2024. This drawing I gave a nickname, I always called it my "cheesy idea" because I laugh and thought what artist would draw pizza and beer. Well I started this drawing while I was in the Army. The image is actually my room in the barracks and the idea literally came to while while I was eating pizza and playing my xbox. And really eating pizza and playing video games is a typical Friday night.
A little more to the story is I started this drawing in 2018 and it become one of those drawings I work on a while then put away. The happened  many times until I decided to final focus on it and just it as best as I can. Like most drawing I had to go over old settled lead and redo a lot of work. I don't think it is one of my best but that is what happens when you go back to the old unfinished work.

PictureHoliday Summer
“Holiday Summer” was completed on June 5th, 2016. The drawing represents the start of Summer, there the name came from. The drawing also takes place at Port Aransas, Texas with a friend an old friend of mine named Melissa.
The drawing was always meant to give a
relaxing vibe that just makes you wanna get out there and tan up. The drawing ended up being a gift to my friend and reminds with her to this day.

PictureLonely Walk of Broken Dreams
The “Lonely Walk of Broken Dreams” was completed on July 23rd, 2016. It tells the story of a lonely woman walking alone trough the city, through life, and through her hopes and dreams. There was a song that helps me draw this and inspired the idea of it which was “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” by Green Day. If you listen to that song and look at this drawing you’ll understand her pain.

PictureBonfire in the Backyard
"Bonfire in the Backyard" was completed on September 17th, 2017. Like most of my drawing around this time period I did a lot of request from friends. One gave the idea of drawing a bonfire they had going on in their backyard. Well it was a very simple drawing and did give a relax vibe to the viewer.

PictureThe Ballet Dancer
The Ballet Dancer was a 6 hours drawing, completed on February 8th, 2015. It was made because one day, I waked passed a Ballet Dance Class for young adults. And I waked in and asked to took a few pictures to draw which they were okay with. This image was my favorite was I choose to draw it. I never got to officially met this women. But those few minutes I was in that class, I saw how amazing the art of ballet was. This drawing was made for them and the hardship they go through.

PictureReunited
“Reunited” was finish on August 28th, 2015. I made this drawing to represent the idea of how when people pass on we go to be reunited with our passed loved ones. I like to think that the story in this drawing is that the woman just died than is take to heaven. She than become young again then sees her husband who passed before her. She sees him as if it was the day they first met and they are reunited with a kiss.

PictureWild Tamer
“Wild Tamer” was completed on June 20th, 2017. A photographer took a picture at a rodeo, I really liked the idea of the picture and decided to do it with my own changes. The changes I made was I took away the rodeo setting and made it look like he was in the wild. I also changed the outfit and the look of the horse. The image makes it look like it takes place in the 1900s and this cowboy found this horse in the wild and tried to tame it there. Wild Tamer also won Honorable Mention in Drawing Media in the New Braunfels Art League “Texas Show”

PictureBlack Sails
"Black Sails" was completed on September 26th, 2017. At the time of drawing this is was one of my most ambitious and toughest drawings I done. In it you see a Frigate sailing through a storm at sea.
With this drawing I had to do some studying on what most Frigates look like and I did my best to make my own depiction. I wanted to originally do a battle in a storm, but I came to thought that most ships would have avoided that to just focus on battling the storm. This is still one of my favorites because I tried something different of got out of my comfort zone.

PictureA Day To Remember
"A Day To Remember" was completed on January 1st, 2021. This one was an ambitious and experimental drawing for me. The drawing shows D-Day on the beaches of Normandy on that day June 6th, 1944. With this drawing I had to do a lot of studying from old photography and try to made an image of my own. I was trying to show fallen soldiers, soldiers taking cover or finding cover, craters, LCVP boats dropping off soldiers while taking fire. I was trying my best to make something from study and I think I failed in that.

Picture

Picture
The Way of the Violin is a drawing of Lindsey Stirling who is a violinist. To me she's the best violinist of the 21st century, so that's were I got the title from. The was drawing was also my first drawing of 2016. Completed on January 23rd, 2016. It also marks the last drawing I done of a famous celebrity.

PictureFields of Heaven
The “Fields of Heaven” was finished on October 14th, 2015. The drawing has to do with the idea on what the fields of Heaven could look like. Some think clawed and some think a crop field. In here you will see The Virgin Mary walking through the field.

Picture
“Hawaii Beach” was completed on May 29th, 2017. Of course it takes place on the beaches in Hawaii. I found the image on Instagram from a follower of mine and at the time I wanted to draw a place with a new setting.

PictureHorse & Rider of Life
Horse & Rider of Life was one of my best drawings in high school. It was finished on March 6th, 2014. This drawing was at the time probably one of my longest because I remember I wanted to get it as right as I could.
The girl in the drawing is named Michelle and that's her horse in the drawing as well. She sometimes talked about her horse and said how much she loved it. To me the this picture showed that love.

Picture
“Whisper” was completed on April 22nd, 2015. This drawing I remember was when I was really starting out and trying to start displaying my artwork. This drawing became a mystery to me because I never new what happened to it. It just disappeared on me.

PictureA Day at the Beach
“A Day at the Beach” was completed on March 20th, 2015. The picture takes place at Port Aransas, TX during Spring. I went to beach with some friends and while I was there I took time to start this drawing. It was kind of a favorite to many people and it sold fast.

PictureLife Starts Now
“Life Starts Now” is a religious drawing that was done on September 23rd, 2015. It stands for how God made the Heaven’s and the Earth. A flower stands as the Earth and life going through hands as God’s hands. The drawing is a very dark drawing with a old of glare. I ended up giving it to a friend who eventually passed away. I have no idea what happened to it now.

PictureI Don't Dance

“I Don't Dance” was completed on March 6th, 2015. It was named after the song "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice. The song was about how some men not dance, but on their wedding day, they would dance with their wife. The song also says "it ain't my style, but I don't care, I'd do anything with you anywhere." To me this song and this drawing symbolize that a men and a women would do anything with each other if there love is strong (true love).
The drawing is meant to be a strong symbol of true love. In the end I gave it to a friend as a wedding gift.

Picture
"Snowy Valley" was completed on January 23rd, 2021. I know when I was working on this I was thinking about the artist Bob Ross and when he painted snowy mountains. So I was trying to do a large 24x18 drawing and tried to make things up has I went along. I admit it's not my best but I know my mistakes and took it has a learning experience.

PictureA Forgotten Old Dock

PictureThe Ice Queen
The Ice Queen was completed on May 23rd, 2014. It got the name Ice Queen because an old friend named Cherrica was the best ice skater I know by far. She was my ice queen and always will be. In 2013 she got an injury and stop skating. One of the other reasons I did is was for her memory on the ice floor. She never skated again sadly.

PictureBetween The Raindrops
"Between the Raindrops" was completed on a rainy day in Stockdale, Texas on September 27th, 2015. To me, it was a easy quick drawing that only took maybe 6 hours of work. Some people think I rushed into it and maybe they are right but it wasn't meant to be looked at it up close. This drawing is meant to be seen from a far distance.

PictureEye's of a Angel
"Eye's of a Angel" was completed on December 21st, 2014. I gave it the name "Eye's of a Angel" because the women in this drawing was named Kaitlyn and she was a basic blonde girl with blue eye's. She was a sweet girl and I offered to draw her.
I did the eye's blue because to me her blue eye's was her best feature and I wanted to try to add color in the mix. She was nice sweet girl so I gave it the title of "Eye's of a Angel".

PictureSweet Dreams
“Sweet Dreams” is the second drawing to Ashley and twin to Nighty Night. It was done on September 25th, 2015. The reason why it's a twin drawing is because in real life both of the baby's are bothers and sons of Ashley.
I told her if she ever had more kids then I would draw them too. About 2 or 3 months later, she was going have another baby. So I told her "I guess I got another baby drawing coming up". She laughed and said "I didn't have too" but I thought it wouldn't be a problem plus unfair to her first son. The drawing only took 2 days to do and was given to Ashley later on.

Picture
“Fields of Stockdale” was completed on September 25th, 2016. This drawing was takes place in Shockdale, Texas at my father field behind his house. I really wanted to draw a part of the place I spent my early childhood in and hopefully show the beauty of Texas fields.

Picture
“Just Another Day In Paradise” June 7th, 2017. There’s really no story no this drawing. It was just summer time and I wanted to do something for the theme.

PictureSatisfaction
Satisfaction was finished on October 28th, 2015. The women in this picture is a WWE professional wrestler named Paige. I admit she to was one of the baddest and beautiful women I saw at the time so I choose to draw one of her pictures on Instagram. Few celebrity drawings I done.

PictureLady Knight
Lady Knight is a portrait drawing and it was completed on September 30th, 2015. The women's name is Desiree Knight and was a friend of mine. She asked me a few times to draw her and I said "I'll think about it". “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a Christmas special that was completed on December 25th and was the last drawing I did for 2015. The women in this portrait was a close friend named Holli whoI knew live a wonderful life with seeing everything great about it. Which is why I named it ‘It’s a Wonderful Life” after the 1946 Christmas movie.

Picture
“Pleasure” was completed on November 28th, 2016. It was my second partly nude drawing and the one the showed me there was no money to be made with nude drawings so it was also my final one. Some people like to see this stuff but never know where to put. But the title came from the idea that there not a couple, their just pleasuring each other for one night.

PictureGoldie
“Goldie” was a yearlong put off drawing of an old friend of mine Montana. It was finished on April 19th, 2015. I kept putting it off because honestly I was afraid of how it would come out. This was the first time I ever drawing with a yellow colored pencil. I even cut it down a few times, final size was 16.5x13.5.  It didn't come out like I wanted but I'm happy I tried something different and took the learning experience. I never did anything like this again.

PictureCanyon Lake
“Canyon Lake” was completed on October 19, 2015 and is a landscape drawing of the Canyon Lake, Texas. If you ever go to the Lake, go to the dam by the Lake and you’ll see this same view. The drawing ended up as a size of 24x14. And now when I see it I think I could have done more to it.

PictureBroken Away From Broken Dreams
“Broken Away From Broken Dreams” was completed on April 18th, 2014. The women in this drawing is Kaitlyn (who is featured in “Love for Valentine's”) and it is named “Broken Away From Broken Dreams” because we were friends that had a fallout while I was working on it. At first I didn't want to finish it but I promised that I would complete it and give it to her that's what I did. After she got it we didn't see each other after. But this was around high school so most people don't see anyone after.

Picture
“Pure” is a portrait of “Sheridan Kruitz”. It was completed on March 23rd, 2016 near her birthday and was giving as a gift.

Picture
“Blaze of Glory” was completed on October 7th, 2016. This drawing was done because I did a football sometime earlier and I wanted to a volleyball theme and show something that woman are very competitive of. I’m not completely pleased with how it turned out. I laugh at it now because of the face she made while hitting the ball. But it also proved to be a very difficult drawing. When you’re in action you never care about face you make and this drawings shows that.

Picture
“The Greatest Gift” was completed on December 13th, 2016. This drawing is meant tells us that one of the greatest gifts we can have is being with the love of lives. In it you see two people holding each other and showing their love for each other.

Picture
“Spirit” was completed on September 30th, 2016. “Spirit” was really more of a pass time drawing and something I wasn’t crazy about. I kind of rush through it and didn’t care for the turn out. But drawing tells a story of the spirit of people and the love of the Earth.

Picture

PictureTime of Autumn
“Time of Autumn” was 8 month project that I was working on and off again on. Every few weeks I would work on it and put it away for other projects. One day I realized that 8 months past by, and on September 29th, 2014, the day I completed "The Forgotten Artist", I decided to finally finish it. I knew I had little work to do, it hardly took an hour to completed it.
The lady in this draw is Autumn, the same women in "Lady Wilcox". This is Lady Wilcox's twin for that they are the same lady and both titles have her name. But Time of Autumn was also named that Autumn had come. Autumn basically began, there come Time of Autumn.

PictureStarry Starry Night
"Starry Starry Night" was completed on December 5th, 2014. It's a mix of pencil and color together. As you can see, the night sky is done in color and the truck and cowgirl are done in pencil. I wanted to try something new. Something you don't always see a artist do. I also tried to do a style of Vincent Van Gogh on the night sky, but instead of paint I use color pencil.

PictureThe Outsider
“The Outsider” was done on November 8th, 2015 and takes place on a dark night on downtown New Braunfels across from the Phoenix Saloon. It was a very big drawing at 15x24. and It is of course a dark drawing to. One that really is one of my most disliked. But hey, try something new and learn.

PictureNew Winter
New Winter was completed on October 11th, 2015. This drawing was originally meant to be finished in December of 2014. but I kept putting it of until February, then I had on choose but to wait until it got to a colder season since Spring was coming up. It's named New Winter because the weather keeps changing every year, like it's getting hotter in the summer and colder during the winter. Of course October isn't considered a winter season, but I felt like finally finishing it.
This is actually my most hated drawing one I wish I didn't do but it's still mine and I will keep it.

All these drawings down here were class protects from Middle School to High School (2007 to 2013). These are all I kept on record cuz in the past, I thought I wouldn't want to be known by them. But every art in history has an early artwork from their beginning years and these are mind. Most of then are mostly quick sketches but some are old portraits of old friends.
"The Wyoming Charger" was a class project, we were allowed to draw whatever we wanted and I want to draw a car my brother took a picture of in Wyoming.
"The Yellow Flower" was wet color drawing for class. At the time I didn't know how to mix color so this was my first color drawing I've ever done.
"Bird of Life" was a chalk drawing for a class project.
"Black Tree" was a scratch art project for my sophomore year in high school. Also first and only scratch art I've ever done.
"Angel From Heaven", "Perry" & "Lovely Tayler" were class projects to do a portrait of someone you knew. All 3 were friends of mine and I picked them cuz 2 were my best friends at the time, and "Lovely Tayler" was a girl who I just meant and felt like drawing.
"Young William" was a self portrait class protect for my freshmen year in High School.
"Lebron James" was a celebrity drawing done with a partner. My friend Manny did one half and I did the other.
"Edge" & "Smirk" are drawings of the celebrity WWE Superstar Edge. And both were school projects. "Smirk" was for 8th grade and "Edge" was for 9th grade.
"Cut Art" was a cut art class project.
"The Bug" was a marker drawing for a freshmen year class project.
"Man of Mystery" was a pin drawing class project and we were choose to pick whoever we want to draw and I picked myself.
"The Ocean" is a pencil water drawing. In this case I had an idea to draw the ocean cuz it was a water drawing. If you don't know what a Water Drawing is, it's a drawing were you work in pencil or color and at the end you rub water on top of it. This was a class drawing too.
